Prime Minister Kamla Persad-ĀBissessar yesterday demanded an apology from former finance minister Colm Imbert for his public vendetta against the Auditor General, which brought the office of the Minister of Finance into disrepute and odium.
Delivering a statement to the House of Representatives, at the Red House, Port of Spain, following the laying of the Auditor General Report, the Prime Minister said what she was about to disclose to the nation would ātrigger vexation, disbelief and outrage in all right-thinking citizensā.
āThe despicable conduct of this one individual, whose legendary arrogance underscored a decade-long ego trip as this countryās minister of finance, has left us with undeniable reputational damage to T&Tās public finance management.
