Kylian MbapÂpĂ© scored twice to move past PelĂ© and LiÂonel MesÂsi with 14 World Cup goals, Bradley BarÂcoÂla added anÂothÂer and France reÂboundÂed from a surÂprisÂingÂly poor first half to beat SeneÂgal 3-1 TuesÂday.
MbapÂpĂ© had 14 touchÂes in the scoreÂless first half, the fewest of any playÂer, then showed his brilÂliance when he put Les Bleus ahead in the 66th minute. AfÂter Jules Kounde and Michael Olise twice exÂchanged passÂes on the right flank, Olise made a diÂagÂoÂnal pass as MbapÂpĂ© burst past SeneÂgal capÂtain KaliÂdou Koulibaly.
MbapÂpĂ© turned onÂto the ball just outÂside the 6-yard box and slid it past Édouard Mendy and inÂside the far post.
