Prime MinÂisÂter KamÂla PerÂsad-BissesÂsar has exÂpressed sadÂness folÂlowÂing the passÂing of long-standÂing UnitÂed NaÂtionÂal ConÂgress (UNC) memÂber Don Sylvester, deÂscribÂing him as a deÂvotÂed and comÂmitÂted supÂportÂer of the parÂty.
In a stateÂment, PerÂsad-BissesÂsar said Sylvester’s life reÂflectÂed serÂvice, comÂmitÂment, and unÂwaÂverÂing dedÂiÂcaÂtion to the UNC.
She said durÂing his years of pubÂlic serÂvice, Sylvester served as a TemÂpoÂrary GovÂernÂment SenÂaÂtor durÂing the Tenth ParÂliaÂment from 2012 to 2014, conÂtestÂed the St Ann’s East seat for the UNC in the 2015 genÂerÂal elecÂtions, and held sevÂerÂal roles in loÂcal govÂernÂment.
