PubĀlic UtilĀiĀties MinĀisĀter BarĀry Padarath said he reĀmains unĀfazed afĀter OpĀpoĀsiĀtion MPs walked out of ParĀliaĀment durĀing his conĀtriĀbuĀtion to the deĀbate on the SupĀpleĀmenĀtaĀtion and VariĀaĀtion of ApĀproĀpriĀaĀtion for FisĀcal Year 2026 yesĀterĀday, inĀsistĀing the protest will not deĀter the GovĀernĀment from exĀposĀing the PeoĀpleās NaĀtionĀal MoveĀment (PNM).
OpĀpoĀsiĀtion MPs exĀitĀed the ChamĀber as Padarath rose to speak, citĀing what they deĀscribed as his ārepĀreĀhenĀsiĀbleā treatĀment of parĀliaĀmenĀtary staff.
Padarath alĀso took aim at OpĀpoĀsiĀtion Leader PenĀneĀlope BeckĀles, critĀiĀcisĀing her for not parĀticĀiĀpatĀing in the deĀbate and deĀscribĀing her as āinĀcomĀpeĀtent, abĀsent and lazyā.
