Police hunt suspect after Claxton Bay mom, son beaten

Po­lice are search­ing for a man who al­leged­ly at­tacked a Clax­ton Bay woman and her son be­fore dam­ag­ing their prop­er­ty at their Clax­ton Bay home.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said around 11 pm on Thurs­day, Can­dace Quashie, 42, was at her Hill­top Dri­ve, Spring­vale home with her son, Court­ney Julien, 21, when an ar­gu­ment oc­curred with a 47-year-old man whom she knows.

Dur­ing the al­ter­ca­tion, the man al­leged­ly armed him­self with a cut­lass and struck Quashie sev­er­al times on her hands. Julien in­ter­vened and was al­so struck, caus­ing swelling.The sus­pect then al­leged­ly broke a win­dow on the south­ern side of the house and dam­aged sev­er­al CCTV cam­eras be­fore leav­ing.
