'i WAS KIDNAPPED'

“I was kidnapped.”

So said firearms dealer Brent Thomas yesterday as he expressed continued disappointment that to date, he has received no closure over the ordeal he suffered when he was taken by force from Barbados and brought to Trinidad.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar last Tuesday, in her address at the opening ceremony of the Caricom Heads of Government meeting in St Kitts, criticised the Caricom Secretariat over what she described as an “unsettling” matter surrounding Thomas’ “kidnapping” in 2022.
