Man, 27, charged with woman’s murder

A 27-year-old Arouca man is expected to appear before a magistrate after police charged him with the murder of Yamerlis Lopez.

Police said officers arrested the man on Monday and kept him in custody. Investigators from the Region II Homicide Bureau met with officials from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions on Thursday.

Sources said the DPP gave instructions to lay the charge.
