Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar has inĀtenĀsiĀfied her critĀiĀcism of the Caribbean ComĀmuĀniĀty (CariĀcom), acĀcusĀing the reĀgionĀal body of conĀcealĀing what she deĀscribed as a corĀrupt backĀroom opĀerĀaĀtion that unĀderĀmines the orĀganĀiĀsaĀtion and harms Caribbean citĀiĀzens.
On April 11, CariĀcom pubĀlished a stateĀment on its FaceĀbook page from ChairĀman, Prime MinĀisĀter of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr. TerĀrance Drew. The stateĀment sought to disĀmiss conĀcerns raised by Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo reĀgardĀing the reapĀpointĀment of her as SG.
PerĀsad-BissesĀsar said the stateĀment failed to adĀdress key isĀsues, inĀcludĀing a WhatĀsApp mesĀsage sent on FebĀruĀary 26, to all CariĀcom ForĀeign MinĀisĀters. āNowhere in the stateĀment craftĀed by GS BarĀnett did she adĀdress the WhatĀsApp mesĀsage sent on the COFĀCOR WhatĀsApp group to all CariĀcom ForĀeign MinĀisĀters at 8:55 a.m.,ā she statĀed.
