A Port-of-Spain man was shot in the left knee durÂing a botched transÂacÂtion in MalÂoney, inÂvolvÂing the sale of gold which had been orÂganÂised via an onÂline adÂverÂtiseÂment.
PoÂlice said the 27-year-old of SevÂenth Street, Beetham GarÂdens, had driÂven his 40-year-old friend of CanÂtaro VilÂlage, UpÂper SanÂta Cruz; to La HorÂquetÂta, on OcÂtoÂber 24, to meet the alÂleged sellÂer to purÂchase a quanÂtiÂty of gold that had been adÂverÂtised on FaceÂbook MarÂket Place.
The two vicÂtims picked up two susÂpects around 10.30 am in the vicinÂiÂty of the basÂketÂball court at Phase SevÂen, where they sat talkÂing.
