A 19-year-old LavenĀtille man is beĀing treatĀed for inĀjuries afĀter a rideshare driĀver alĀlegedĀly knocked him down while esĀcapĀing an atĀtemptĀed robĀbery on SatĀurĀday night.
PoĀlice said the driĀver reĀceived a reĀquest through his moĀbile app to pick up two women on InĀdeĀpenĀdence Square, Port of Spain, at around 9.19 pm.
One of the women asked the driĀver to take her to WharĀton Branch Road, LavenĀtille, to colĀlect an item beĀfore conĀtinĀuĀing the ride.
