A Mt Hope man carÂried out a citÂiÂzen’s arÂrest on SunÂday afÂter he manÂaged to wresÂtle away the gun from an armed inÂtrudÂer and conÂtact the poÂlice while holdÂing the susÂpect, who is 46 years younger than him, at gunÂpoint.
PoÂlice said the 68-year-old penÂsionÂer was in his kitchen around 12.45 pm on NoÂvemÂber 16 when he saw the 22-year-old susÂpect enÂterÂing the premisÂes via the front door.
The inÂtrudÂer orÂdered the homeÂownÂer to lie on the floor, but the vicÂtim reÂsistÂed and inÂstead rushed toÂwards the susÂpect and grabbed the gun.
